Thank you for being a Smithville customer. We appreciate your business and hope this letter
finds you and your family well. We are writing to let you know about an important change to your
Smithville Cellular service. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to
cease providing Smithville Cellular service on October 31, 2020. The good news is, we’ve made
transitioning to our partner cellular provider, Telispire, seamless.
Our Smithville Cellular service will end at 11:59 PM on October 31st, 2020.
Several options available to you to fulfill your cellular needs:
1. Transition to Telispire
If you take no action your cellular service will transfer to Telispire on November 1st, 2020. There
will be no pricing or change in service, and you will contact Telispire for any needed customer
support at (800) 564-6189. You will thereafter receive your cellular bill directly from Telispire by
mail. If you sign up for email billing and auto pay by credit card, you will receive a $5 credit on
your Telispire cellular bill every month.
2. Transfer to another carrier
You can move your service and phone number(s) to another carrier. Your provider of choice will
be able to transfer your phone number to a new service by submitting a port request. You will
need to provide them with your Smithville account number and billing address. When your port
request is complete, Smithville Cellular services and billing will be automatically disconnected,
and the change will be reflected on your next Smithville bill.
3. Terminate service
If you do not want to continue with cellular service, you may disconnect your Smithville Cellular
service by calling Smithville at (800) 742-4084. Billing will stop when you let us know you want
the service to be disconnected and the change will be reflected on your next Smithville bill.
